Soccer - Lennon backed to face Arsenal
Aaron Lennon should have recovered from a groin injury in time to play in Sunday's north London derby against Arsenal at White Hart Lane, a game Harry Redknapp's team are 11/1 with bet365 to win 2-0. The Tottenham winger had to be substituted at half-time as Spurs came from behind to record a 3-1 Europa League victory against Shamrock Rovers on Thursday. Lennon will be given every chance of featuring against the Gunners and is 14/1 to open the scoring. Redknapp said: "Aaron's okay. He said his groin was a bit stiff and he didn't feel he could play on but I don't think it's too bad."

Soccer - Dalglish expects new boys to shine
Kenny Dalglish has backed his recent signings to come to the fore when Liverpool, 13/2 with bet365 to win the game 1-0, face Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Saturday lunchtime. Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing, Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Jose Enrique, who have all moved to Anfield this year, are set to feature in the much-anticipated clash. "I don't think there's anybody who'll be involved with us on Saturday who'll be undermined or surprised by what they come up against," said Dalglish. Daniel Agger has resumed training but will not feature against David Moyes' side, who are 10/1 to edge the encounter 2-1, while Glen Johnson will also be missing. Skipper Steven Gerrard is likely to be on the bench.

Soccer - Rooney set to face Norwich
Wayne Rooney seems certain to return to action this weekend when Manchester United face Norwich City at Old Trafford in a game that Sir Alex Ferguson's team are 17/2 with bet365 to win 4-0. The former Everton striker missed the recent draws against Stoke City and Basel due to a slight hamstring strain but has been able to train this week. Rooney is currently at the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts with nine goals in his first six games - including two hat-tricks in successive games against Arsenal and Bolton Wanderers. The Canaries are available at 16/1 to return to Norfolk with a shock victory.

Football Betting Tips | Weekend 1st October 2011

Sergio Aguero

Hello to you all, right it's another weekend of crazy fixtures and then next weekend is another bloody international break. How many fixtures in a season do they want. Let's get on with it.

Saturday 1st October 2011

Everton v Liverpool - Liverpool Win(Draw No Bet) @ 1.72
I cannot see Everton winning this game even with the home advantage in the Merseyside derby. Both teams breaking even with the goal difference. Everton haven't really managed to strengthen the squad they had from last season and they have lost Arteta to Arsenal who was their key playmaker. Liverpool however can be very strong this season if they manage to kick on.

Blackburn v Man City - Man City Win @ 1.57 & Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.10
This bet isn't really that hard to predict and is some what of a cop out, you don't need me to tell you that Man City are stronger than 90% of other teams in the league and Blackburn is one of them. This is why I have coupled the bet with the over 2.5 Goals @ 2.10, if Man City get in the flow of things once more they could destroy Blackburn on their own turf turning even more of the home fans onto the Blackburn players backs.

Right that's all this week folks, have a wicked weekend of booze and football.

Soccer - United told to wake up
Sir Alex Ferguson has warned Manchester United, 7/1 with bet365, to tighten up if they want to win the Champions League this season. The Red Devils escaped with a 3-3 draw at home to FC Basel, having thrown away a two-goal lead to trail 3-2 going into the closing stages, before Ashley Young headed home an equaliser. An annoyed Ferguson said after the game: "I think we were careless. It's a wake-up call in many ways. "To concede three goals at home, the defence and midfield have to be better than that in terms of concentration. "If you lapse, the quality of the Champions League can make you suffer." United drew their opening Group C game away from home at Benfica and need to register a victory next time out in Romania against Otelul Galati to get back on track for a knockout stage spot. Ferguson's side are still 4/9 to top the group and 1/14 to qualify for the last 16

Soccer - Mancini shuts door on Tevez
Carlos Tevez's Manchester City career could be over after he appeared to refuse to take to the field during the 2-0 Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich. Citizens head coach Roberto Mancini was furious with the Argentinian, whose actions overshadowed a result which left City 14/1 with bet365 to win the Champions League at the first attempt. An angry Mancini said afterwards: "If I have my way he will be out. He's finished with me. "If we want to improve as a team Carlos can't play with us. With me, he is finished." Edin Dzeko also showed his displeasure at being replaced during Tuesday evening's loss in the Allianz Arena, with Mancini hoping to move on quickly for the Premier League trip to Blackburn on Saturday. City are 8/13 to win at Ewood Park and 7/1 to succeed by a 2-0 scoreline.

Will Tevez Ever Play For Man City Again?

Luka-Modric-Best-Action

Hello fellow betters, let's have a look at this weekends action that may tempt our fingers into our wallets.

West Bromwich Albion v Fulham - Draw @ 3.25
The Baggies seem to be struggling to get fired up so far this season only picking up 3 points in a lucky win against Norwich. Fulham picked up in the last game against Man City picking up a point after pulling level after being 0-2 down. However I think Albion will put in a good defence showing but struggle to score goals yet again while they seem to continue to play the out of favour 442 formation. I think the draw at 3.25 with bet365 is good value.

Wigan v Tottenham - Tottenham Win @ 1.90
Tottenham picked up last weekend with a good solid performance against Liverpool. The disappointment of being knocked out of the Carling Cup to Stoke midweek will be short lived as Harry will see it as more of a relief not having another round of fixtures to play ontop of all the Europa League games that he see's as an inconvenience. The odds aren't great but I see this as a clear Tottenham win and is worth a big chunk of cash to more or less double you money. Well that's it for the moment people. Man Utd v Chelsea Betting Tips | Sunday 18th September 2011

Posted by Underdog Tipster

Manchester-United-v-Chelsea

Today see's a potentially mouth watering fixture at Old Trafford as the Red Devils take on Chelsea.

As most of us know, this season the two Manchester teams look to have started the strongest knocking in goals for fun with the only exception being in midweek when both teams failed to show the deadly form that they both currently have in the Premiership. The weaker midweek showing have been put down to squad changes to Sir Alex's team.

Right let's have a little look at some stats for today's game.

  • Both teams have played 4 Premiership games this season with only Chelsea dropping points to a 0-0 draw away at Stoke on the opening game of the season.
  • Man Utd are far more superior so far at putting the ball in the back of the net scoring 18 league goals to Chelsea's 7.
  • Both team's defensive records are level pegging both only conceding 3 league goals.
Man Utd have no fresh injury worries just leaving Nemanja Vidic (calf), Tom Cleverley (foot) and Rafael (shoulder) and Danny Welbeck (hamstring) out of the game today. Chelsea's Didier Drogba looks set to miss out on today's action after not being able to shake off that nasty head injury.
Looking at the two team's today I think it will be a close game scoreline wise. I think Man Utd will dominate for large parts of the game as they have good pace throughout the team. But I cannot look past Man Utd for this game today, I cannot see Chelsea stepping up to match them with the pace they have got and Utd will have the added bonus of playing on home turf.See Tips Below
